Dr. Griffin coordinates assessment and treatment with referring physicians.  He also collaborates with other healthcare professionals as needed, often referring patients to them for services he does not offer, such as psychiatric assessment and medication management.
Treating children often requires coordination of services with pediatricians as well as with the child's school.
  
Ms. Mae Clarke, office assistant, is responsible for making appointments, coordinating services with other providers, and obtaining insurance authorization.  She greets patients and is available to answer their questions about services and benefits.  
 
Ms. Clarke has over 30 years experience in the public sector, and has held key positions in several the telephonic communication industry. A lifelong resident of southeastern Virginia, she is knowledgeable about the numerous resources available in the area.

J. Michael Griffin, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  He is also licensed to practice psychology in North Carolina.  He has over 35 years of professional experience in education, the biological sciences, and clinical psychology
 
Dr. Griffin earned the B.S. in biology at Guilford College (1970), M.A. in biology from Western Carolina University (1972), Ed.D. at The University of Sarasota (1978), M.A. in psychology at NC Central University (1991), and Ph.D. at Walden University in clinical psychology (1999).
 
The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America has awarded Dr. Griffin the credential of EEG-Certified, meaning he is qualified to practice EEG Biofeedback, also known as Neurofeedback.
